LADY BE GOOD

Set in the roaring twenties and featuring music by Ira and George Gershwin, “Lady Be Good” brings the raucous delight of big band Jazz to life in a timeless tale of love, sacrifice, and crooked lawyers! Stay tuned to our social media for more details.

After being cast out onto the streets of New York, Dick and Susie Trevor’s lives have been turned upside down. They must endure a life of scavenging and desperation, surrendering their loves of Shirley Vernon and the mysterious Jack to marry people they do not belong with or commit crimes that will. Josephine, a young spoilt heiress and impersonating Senora Robinson for inheritance become their only options to ensure financial happiness but not that of the heart.

Meanwhile Watty Watkins, a scoundrel of a lawyer, ( with the help of Susie) must search through the city for the now affluent Jack (who has become rich because of his uncles death) and also surrender him to his client, Estrada, who claims Jack has married his sister and owes him money.

In this big bubble of cheerful confusion, the young people of New York City must fend off potentially horrible mistakes, fight for their loves and for each other, all amidst the best musical numbers New York has to offer.
